How we hire
Talent acquisition chat
This is the first assessment of your hard and soft skills, motivation, and expectations regarding the role, company and salary. We will also want to know your possible starting date.
If your application is selected, our experts will evaluate the status quo of the skills that are specific and crucial to the role you have applied for.
Hiring manager interview
On to the next round, where things are ‘getting real’! You will be invited for an interview with the hiring manager to discuss your background, ambitions, expectations and skills.
Mambuvians work in close-knit teams, which is why a cultural fit is critical. All candidates meet with their peer(s) to get to know each other and make sure the match is good.
Almost there! As a final step you may be asked to join us for a final interview, or to complete an assignment that mimics a challenging situation you may expect at Mambu.
How long does an interview take?
This depends on where you are in the recruitment process. The first phone call could take 45 to 60 minutes, and, if you are selected, the next rounds of interviews usually last about an hour each. We make sure to take proper time to get to know each other, talking about ambitions and expectations, all to ensure that there’s a good cultural fit.
What does a typical interview process look like at Mambu?
Do you accept open applications?
Since we do not accept open applications, we advise you to look for a specific vacancy found in the overview and apply to that directly. If you can’t find one, feel free to reach out to our talent acquisition team via social media, or via email.
I have an interview coming up but I feel unprepared. Any suggestions?

Do I need to pay for the international travel costs I make for attending the interviews?
No, absolutely not. If we ask you to fly over for an interview we will reimburse the costs.
Everyone speaks about diversity but can I really be my authentic self?
At Mambu we strive to build a welcoming culture based on our core values. We look for authenticity over corporate polish, and appreciate all Mambuvians. Remember that the interview process is a time to get to know each other, and it works both ways. You are making a decision about Mambu, too. The only way to tell if we are a good match is to be yourself, so show your personality, ask questions and speak honestly.
