Job Description

Mambu is the leading SaaS core banking engine. If you’re a customer of the largest digital bank in the EU, then you’ve probably interacted with our platform and didn't even know it. We are at the heart of what makes digital banks and lenders work - the system that processes banking transactions and updates accounts and other financial records from deposits to loans and credit balances. But Mambu is different.  We are not just cloud-native, lean and flexible - we are helping to revolutionise financial services globally. We are in a growth phase and we’ve only just begun.

To help us on our mission, we bring together people with the best skills and attitude. It doesn’t matter where you are from, what matters is the impact you have and your passion to make a difference.

To continue our success story we are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Associate, Advisory Services to join our team and help us scale a consulting team from the ground up and create a new service for one of the decade’s most eminent pre-IPO FinTechs. Working as part of a global team, they will work on a portfolio of projects with outcomes that can materially change the industry. Typically, the Advisory Services team will work with clients – established banks, neobanks, FinTechs and new entrants to financial services – to help shape their vision for a digitally-led future, designing new ventures, new propositions and discovering ways to improve operational efficiency. This role is unique and not like one you would find in a traditional consulting firm. The alignment of Advisory Services with the company’s ‘best of breed’ technology platform (as defined by Gartner), used by more than 200 clients in 55 countries, creates a competitive edge through the ability to design and deliver innovations. In many ways, this is a career defining role which requires an entrepreneurial mindset – where the role holder is personally vested in the outcome. Success will be measured as having evolved the company by creating a powerful and transformative offer to the industry. Personal success will be measured by the step change in your career, on an international stage, and the proof points which attest to your ability to create and scale a new line of business.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Through consulting engagements, support established banks, neobanks, fintechs and new entrants with the development of their vision and strategy, ultimately designing new ventures, new propositions and identifying opportunities to improve operational effectiveness
  • Work with the company’s specialist teams (solution architects, product managers, data scientists etc) to assure the feasibility of designs for real-world success
  • Work in close partnership with the company’s senior leadership teams to align the go-to-market strategy for Advisory Services as well as binding the outcomes of consulting engagements with core platform opportunities (sales, product enhancements etc)
  • Support consulting engagements by tapping into existing deal flow for the company’s core platform while creating a distinct pipeline
  • Support the company’s reputation as a thought leader
  • Deliver client, commercial and employee objectives

You will need to have:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in a top tier consultancy with experience of delivering projects at an Exco level
  • A track record of working with Executives in major financial institutions across commercial strategy, digital transformations and new to market proportions
  • Owner mindset, a bias for action and ambition for growth
  • Knowledge of banking (retail and commercial) – products, operating model, channels, risk & controls, treasury, operations and technology
  • Strategy formulation – growth and cost reduction Design Thinking – creation of new customer propositions, corporate ventures or operating model and process improvements through user-first methodologies
  • First hand, practical experience of the transformational benefits of digital technology
  • First hand, practical FinTech experience – directly or as a consultant
  • Knowledge of the commercial application of emerging technologies applied to banking
  • Strong written and verbal English
  • Numerically literate
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
