We are looking for a passionate, skilled and enthusiastic Product Director to join our product team and serve as the product leader for Composability Enablement product area, driving strategic implementation of product initiatives in line with the company vision. Leverage strong problem solving, product development, program implementation, and stakeholder management expertise to coach and develop a team of Technical Product Managers who manage the individual roadmaps and backlogs of the products within the specific product area.

Drive the strategy of Composability Enablement, an area that is delivering tech capabilities that allow our core banking platform (lending, deposits, payments) to easily integrate with other systems. From notifications, streaming APIs, customer information file, identity & access management and many other related services.

You will be working on:

  • Drive the Strategy for the Composability Enablement Product:
  • Define the product tribe area portfolio vision and product strategy to be in line with the company strategy
  • Effectively communicate tribe product strategy to direct reports and cross-functional executives
  • Direct the creation of the area product roadmaps, ensuring the most valuable customer problems are solved with meaningful solutions
  • Ensure product solves customer needs and contextualise the objectives for the team of product managers and engineers
  • Understand the implications of developing technology for the highly regulated banking industry
  • Guiding prioritisation by individual Technical Product Managers and helping them make trade offs to achieve product level goals

  • Plan and execute the implementation of Product Initiatives:
  • Coordinate team efforts to rapidly lead ideation, development, and launch of features with a team of world-class engineers and cross-functional team members
  • Encourage customer-first product processes around rapid prototyping, testing, iterating and deploying for the Product team
  • Establish a strong product culture within the team where insights and business outcomes drive decision-making
  • Identify dependencies and build alignment across product development teams, cross-functional partners, and product/tech leadership
  • Ensure the success of the products within the tribe and own the delivery of product execution along with the engineering leadership

  • Ensure product team is in touch with market trends and customer needs:
  • Stay in sync with the changing market trends, competitive landscape, and client needs, on a continuous basis to identify the next big idea
  • Build processes for PMs to engage with current clients, lost clients, and prospects on a continuous basis to understand their pain points, preferences, and critical unmet needs
  • Encourage collaboration to generate distinctive insights related to client needs and potential solutions to address them
  • Build the business case based on client interviews and strong qualitative and quantitative analysis to facilitate decision making and get stakeholder buy-in for larger initiatives
  • Help PMs gain an understanding of clients, enhance feedback mechanisms and approaches to acquire their feedback in order to better develop their needs into products

  • Partner with cross functional teams for effective and aligned collaboration:
  • Work with various leaders across the business ensure the product teams are building and launching the most valuable enhancements
  • Make sure that PMs are making time for communication and training for all impacted teams
  • Monitor key metrics, along with client and internal stakeholder feedback to ensure the products are performing as intended – proactively identify and address any red flags
  • Continuously learn and share from best practices of other teams across the Product org to ensure the product line stays aligned to other Mambu products
  • Support Sales team with product questions, prospect demonstration, crafting large deals, exception approval for non-standard requests, etc.
  • Create and maintain all supporting product collateral, documentation, training material and manage communication to stakeholders as needed
  • Partner with operations to develop product plans to further automate the business
  • Become the bridge between business needs, product needs, and technical teams

  • Coach, grow, and develop a team of Technical Product Managers:
  • Recruit, coach, and develop a team of product managers executing on product area vision
  • Manage, mentor, and support team members as needed
  • You need to have:

  • 6+ years experience in technology, with at least 4 years of experience in agile SaaS product management, preferably in banking or technology
  • Previous Engineering experience or education preferredHands-on experience in managing API, integrations
  • Excited to work on a growing suite of tools that make a difference for the modern banking industry
  • Track record of identifying and solving complex, amorphous problems
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast paced, iterative problem-solving approach
  • Very strong quantitative and qualitative problem solving, including ability to actively listen and probe on feedback from customers, sales and internal stakeholders, net out the “so what” and combine with quantitative analysis to come up with insights and actionable recommendations
  • Willingness / flexibility to adapt to and shape evolving role over time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to tailor the message/ delivery to the audiences
