We are looking for a passionate, skilled and enthusiastic Product Operations Director to join our team to help us optimise all of the drivers that affect product performance including process efficiency, product usage, go-to-market protocols, and company financials. Identify opportunities and suggest changes which fuel the scaling up of the Product organisation. Encourage data-driven decisions across the teams and lead the implementation of the tools which enable them.
Your responsibilities will be:
Establish processes for tracking, measuring, and analyzing organisational performanceProvide ways to review overall product portfolio performance and share insights that inform product strategy Establish metrics to assess the strength of the portfolio mix and manage the ops team in tracking and analyzing them on an on-going basis to ensure the CPO/CTO is well informedDrive product and development maturity across the organisation by tracking overall goals and progress toward goals Manage product analytics, ensuring it enables companywide decision-making grounded in how our users actually use our softwareCreate a common scorecard to measure product line performance and establish KPIs each fiscal year (e.g., virtual P&L, market penetration)Enable cross-functional alignment across the organisationInform the overall allocation of portfolio budget and resources in alignment with corporate and product strategy, balancing across core, growth, and innovation areas of the portfolioLead efforts around agreements to critical standards (i.e., communications, security, availability, etc.) systematically across the development processEnsure there is coordination between Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service to maintain alignment across portfolio release schedule, offering a roadmap, and GTM strategyAct as a strategic liaison between executives, business leadership, and other stakeholders, and develop and deliver executive-level presentations as neededEnsure consistency and alignment of the process among Product Leaders Maintain a pulse on the product KPIs and statuses of the product teamsProvide regular reports on key activities across the Product organisation and conduct ongoing data analysis to drive action and results Identify gaps in process, data, and tools that are impeding ability for the team to perform at their bestCollaborate with our product management and engineering leaders to ensure data-driven processes are in place in the development cycleEnsure consistency and alignment of the process among Engineering LeadersIdentify and implement tooling & processes to ensure fluent product management process Administer (asset owner) product management tools, such as issue tracking, roadmapping, ideation, wire framingAdminister (asset owner) product knowledge management tools
You have:
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or a related field, or seven (7) years’ equivalent experience in a software or systems; Master’s degree preferred7+ years’ progressive experience in leading product and development teams in a complex environment. Ideal candidate has worked in business SaaS productsThe right attitude to lead a multi-disciplinary team that produces market and competitive intelligence, user and prospect feedback analysis, application usage analytics, and internal product documentationKnowledge of data science or other data related skills, with direct experience configuring business intelligence software (comfortable with Tableau, Looker, PowerBI or other third party tools and can ideate proto-types with data insights teams) Experience with the data and usage of common tools used in the product development and sales process (e.g. some of these or comparable tools JIRA, AHA, Salesforce, Freshdesk, Pendo, etc.)Knowledge how to navigate in a changing business landscape and use influence to get what they need from various teams across a highly-matrixed organisationBig-picture oriented. Ability to see how product portfolio performance is linked to company success while understanding the underlying tasks that lead to resultsExhibits a data-driven mindset, healthy skepticism, and critical eyeStrong ability to think strategically & analytically to help solve complex business challenges under pressureProven track record of implementing and adapting Agile and Lean methodologies for real companies with real customersExperience coaching people to perform at their bestWhy Mambu?
